The Parrot’s Beak flower, or Lotus berthelotii, is one of the rarest orange flowers in the world. Also known as lotus vine flower, parrot beak, pelican beak, and coral gem, this flower is considered endangered and may even be extinct in the wild. The Parrot’s beak flowers are native to the Canary Islands and are some of the most dramatic and stunning blooms found in nature. Their long burnt amber claw-like petals extend skywards, tipped in a dark burgundy that seems to bleed down, creating the impression of a flame.
