Description

The Perkin is a very British bouquet named after the British chemist Sir William Henry Perkin, who, at just 18 years old, inadvertently invented the first synthetic dye, which was bold violet purple. This led to an outburst of colourful fabrics that were spotted on every well-to-do lady at the time. This beautiful bouquet is suitably designed as a nod to his success and has been designed to awe and impress everyone, from the most regal to the most outlandish friend.

Your PetalBud flowers are specially selected from the freshest flowers available. Grown in the UK and internationally, they are often shipped while still in bud to ensure that they stay fresh during transit, and allow you to enjoy them for as long as possible. Once your flowers arrive they may take between 24 - 48 hours to bloom. To enjoy your flowers for longer, follow our flower care guide. Our flowers are all unique and seasonal. On the rare occasion we need to substitute flower varieties, we will ensure we maintain the highest quality arrangement.

Caution - not safe for pets! Delphinium Is considered toxic to pets. Please ensure your bouquet is placed well out of reach.
Your bouquet may ship in bud stage with a water pouch. This is to ensure that your flowers arrive in perfect condition. To keep your flower bouquet lasting longer:
  • Trim 4-5cm off each stem at a 45° angle.
  • Remove any rose 'guard' petals.
  • Remove any leaves below the waterline.
  • Use a clean vase with lukewarm water.
  • Add the flower food if provided.
  • Replace water and re-cut stems daily.

    First time in using Petal Bud, and my mum was absolutely delighted with the quality of the roses she received. Excellent quality, although a different colour was delivered to what was stated and shown in the photo, also arrived without any tree fern greenery - the freshness of the flowers compensates though! I certainly will use again.
