WHITE FLOWER BOUQUETS

White flowers are great to send all year round. They are suitable for almost every person and occasion. 

While it was possible for Alice to paint the queen of hearts roses red, we don’t advise it. After all, if one does insist on going around shouting, ‘off with their head’, one should not feel obliged to follow their behaviour. 

As far as we know, the sun does not bleach coloured flowers white. We did a test earlier and found that if you place your beautiful bouquet of white flowers in full sunlight, they bloom earlier than the ones left in a darker corner of the room. To make them last longer, we recommend keeping them out of direct sunlight, following the care guide instructions and changing the water every two to three days. 

White flowers seem to pop up in almost every situation and occasion. They are often seen at weddings to occasions of sympathy. Hypoallergenic flowers like carnations, daffodils, hydrangeas, orchids and peonies are a great choice when visiting someone to wish them well. We think the reason they are so popular and have such a wide range of meanings is that white flowers represent a fresh start, and this is why they are suitable for almost all of life’s great occasions.

If beauty is truly in the eye of the beholder, then who is to say which is the most beautiful white flower of them all? If we went by the most popular white flowers, then it’s a simple answer which can only be the white rose, followed closely by the white lily. 

The Gardenia. A favourite in the perfume world, gardenia smells even better in the garden. These milky-white flowers bring a strong, exotic scent to any room.

Both lilies and freesias last relatively long in a vase and will tend to look fresh for 10 – 14 days as long as you follow the care instructions and change the water regularly. Orchids and Carnations have the most impressive vase life of around two to three weeks. The longest-lasting white flower is Baby’s Breath, also known as Gypsophila. Florists often add these ethereal flowers to bouquets, as they last forever.

It doesn’t matter if you place your bouquet at the entrance, in the dining room or on your bedside table. They will look lovely and bring brightness to each room. Remember to place them in a cool place away from direct heat and sunlight. Flowers are also sensitive to ethylene gas that is released by fruit, so don’t put them near your fruit bowl, or they will wilt rather quickly.
