Caution - tulips are considered mildly toxic to both cats and dogs. The stems, leaves and tulip flowers contain mild toxins. If eaten, they can leave your pet feeling nauseous. Your tulips may ship in the bud stage with a water pouch to ensure your flowers arrive in perfect condition. Cut tulips can last anywhere from a few days to a week or more with proper care. Freshwater, a clean vase, and a cool location away from direct sunlight and heat can prolong their life. Without Water: Tulips without water will wilt within a day or two. To keep your flower bouquet lasting longer:
  • Trim 4-5cm off each stem at a 45° angle.
  • Remove any leaves below the waterline.
  • Use a clean vase with lukewarm water.
  • Add the flower food if provided.
  • Replace water and re-cut stems daily.
